2023 Women's World Cup Kit Collections
Nike launched its most extensive women's football collection, showcasing the energy of female athletes. This collection resulted from Nike's investment in women-specific research, empowering designers to create versatile designs for female footballers.
In a sustainability move, the design team used eco-friendly materials throughout the kits. The jersey and shorts were made from 100 percent recycled polyester from plastic bottles. Federation crests, Swooshes, and trims consisted of 100 percent Nike Grind. Innovations reduced fabric waste, achieving an 85 percent fabric yield. Digital prototyping also cut waste by about 75 percent compared to previous tournaments.
Nike was the main partner for more women's football federations qualified for the upcoming summer tournament than any other brand, including top teams like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, the United States, and China. Working closely with each federation, Nike designed unique National Team Collections, incorporating cultural elements. The kits and apparel, featuring graphics and vibrant colors, showcased elite athletes and captivated football fans worldwide.
